Production Stage: New Plan!

Today, we've encountered an unexpected obstacle that's preventing the group from filming – construction. My group had planned to film on Thursday (10/19/23) but the location chosen, Galleria Mall, was under construction. It was frustrating having to cancel filming but there was nothing I could do about it. The group considered to still go the mall regardless of the construction but the noise from the construction would make it impossible to record clear audio and scenes. Everyone was disappointed that things didn’t go as planned and that the shooting was postponed. Not only that, but the group would need to adapt the previous schedule to accommodate this delay.

However, the construction situation serves as a valuable lesson in adaptability. This obstacle helped my professionalism shine as I adapted to the situation and re-planned the schedule for filming. The group was still planning to film on Monday and Tuesday, so I started to prepare to make sure everything was set to avoid any issues on film day. Here’s what I did!

I charged all my camera batteries to make sure they were all set. I set a reminder to double-check my equipment to make sure everything was working properly.  To avoid forgetting any equipment, I arranged everything I needed in advance. I printed out a script to ensure that all the shots would be taken in the right order. I also double-checked my settings to make sure everything was just right. Since everything was postponed I also decided to do some pre-editing. I chose some coloring that I thought fit the song's mood. I also chose which text and font I wanted in the film. 

Even though I was bumped the group didn't get to do any filming today I'm still excited for this project. That's all for today!
