Today I will be presenting my script to you all. So here it is!

Makayla’s Room.

 MAKAYLA (VOICEOVER)

Makayla is scrolling through social media on her computer 

“ Envy is something we all experience. But when you stray too far, you end up wanting too much and once you see the opportunity,”

She gets a message that reads: “Elaine has been missing for 3 weeks.” and “#FindEL”

“ you take it. “

She clicks the hashtag.

She then messages Elaine’s mom: “I found your daughter.”

“Even if that means losing yourself in the process”

Outside Apartment building. (A Month Later.)

Makayla is on the phone with her friend Kylie

KYLIE

“You have to come this time, It’s not like you to skip hanging out.”

MAKAYLA

“Maybe next time.”

KYLIE

“You say that every time. It’s like since you’ve gotten back your completely different.”

Makayla laughs but stops after changing her gaze to the wall. Then she takes out her earbuds and hangs up while looking at a missing poster for Makayla Adams.

KYLIE

“Hello? Elaine?”

Apartment Lobby.

Makayla Hangs up the phone and grabs the poster before crumbling it, throwing it into her bag, opening the door, and going to the stairs.

Stairs.

Makayla then continues to ding and she opens her phone to a group chat.

ETHAN (Messages)

Have you all heard what’s happened to Makayla?

JOSH (Messages)

Who's that again?

MIA (Messages)

The girl who always used to follow behind Elaine.

JOSH (Messages)

What happened to her?

ETHAN (Messages)

Apparently she’s been missing for a month now.

KYLIE (Messages)

Who reported her missing?

MIA (Messages)

Does it matter? Surprised that anyone would care about her.

ETHAN (Messages)

Elaine did.

Makayla suddenly goes into her bag and un-crumble the missing poster and gets a shocked expression on her face.

MAKAYLA (VOICEOVER)

How could this be?

Hallway.

Makayla exits the stairs and receives a message from an unknown number.

UNKNOWN ID (Messages)

Are you surprised?

MAKAYLA (Messages)

Sorry?

UNKNOWN ID (Messages)

I know what you did.

UNKNOWN ID (Messages)

You aren’t Elaine.

MAKAYLA (Messages)

Who are you?

UNKNOWN ID (Messages)

Elaine.

Makayla stops in her tracks and her hand starts shaking.

Then she turns and sees a person behind her.

END
