Production: Music To My Ears.

Welcome!

Hello everyone, today I will be sharing the soundtracks I've selected for the film and how each will enhance the scene they are in.

Choosing the music for my film was one of the most important parts of the process. I wanted each song to connect deeply with the emotions conveyed in the scenes, ensuring the right atmosphere was set. I explored various royalty-free sources, eventually narrowing it down to "BreakingCopyright — Royalty Free Music" and "Infraction - No Copyright Music."

For the opening scene, where the boy and girl meet, I wanted a track that felt warm and lighthearted. I found a song with a gentle melody that conveyed the innocence and excitement of a first greeting. It was essential for this piece to feel like the start of something beautiful without overpowering the visuals.

When it came to moments of joy between the two, I aimed for something upbeat but not too fast. The balance was key, as I didn't want to distract from the dialogue or the actions on screen. A soft, rhythmic track from "Infraction - No Copyright Music" worked perfectly for these sequences, adding just enough energy without taking away from the moment. For scenes where the couple is deep in conversation, especially ones with emotional weight, I looked for something more subdued. The music needed to reflect the intensity of their bond without being overly dramatic. I chose a song with simple piano chords and light strings, which complemented the dialogue and allowed the audience to focus on the characters' emotions.

The arguments required a different approach. I searched for music that wasn't too aggressive but still had an edge. I found a piece that used tension-building beats, which added to the conflict without making the argument feel forced. It had a slow build-up, mirroring the escalating emotions between the two characters.

I wanted the closing scene to feel peaceful but bittersweet. I found a song that used gentle piano and soft chimes, giving the ending a sense of closure while leaving a lingering emotional impact. It felt like the perfect final note to the story. The process of selecting these tracks required careful attention to detail. Each song had to align with the emotions I wanted to evoke and I'm glad they did just that.

That is all for today!
