Welcome! I just finished editing my entire film, and I couldn't be more excited! It was such a journey from start to finish, but it's all finally come together. The group and I worked hard to make sure everything was as polished as possible, from the transitions to the sound design. After countless hours adjusting small details, the final cut looks exactly how I imagined. I spent a lot of time making sure the color grading was perfect for each scene, especially during the emotional moments. One of the most exciting parts was setting up the Wix website for the film. I wanted the website to match the film’s tone, so I went with a minimalistic, modern layout. It’s now the official hub for anyone interested in learning more about the project, and I’ve included behind-the-scenes footage and cast interviews.  Welcome! The group and I had planned to film the last scene of the project, and everything was set up perfectly. We were all excited to finally wrap things up, as this scene was the emotional climax of the story. I arrived early to prepare the equipment and test the lighting. As the group began filming, we quickly ran into a problem. A neighbor nearby was playing loud music, which disrupted the atmosphere we were trying to create. At first, I thought it wouldn't be an issue, but the sound was picked up in the background of the shots. I knew something had to be done if we wanted the audio to be clean. So, I took a break from filming to approach the neighbor. I politely asked them if they could turn the music down, explaining that the group and I were in the middle of an important scene. Luckily, they were understanding and agreed to lower the volume. Once the music was no longer an issue, everything started to go smoothly.  Welcome! The middle of this week has been challenging. Finding a new film date for this Saturday has been a big relief. It was necessary after a few scheduling conflicts came up. I was eager to get everything back on track. The group and I set up a call to discuss the project and make sure everyone was all on the same page. During the call, the conversation shifted to concerns about the film's timing. The script, while strong, seemed like it might run longer than anticipated. Everyone agreed that keeping the film within the time limit was essential. Cutting certain parts of the script wasn’t an easy decision. Every scene held value, but some adjustments were clearly needed.  Welcome! Filming for the last scenes of my project took an unexpected turn when things got canceled. The group and I had been preparing for weeks, finalizing every detail for the shoot. Unfortunately, just when everything seemed to be falling into place, a key person couldn't make it. It was frustrating because this delay set me back with my SAT studies. I had planned my schedule so that after filming, I would have more time to focus on studying. Now, with this cancellation, I'm scrambling to fit everything in. Rescheduling has been challenging, especially finding a time that works for everyone. The group and I have tried multiple times to coordinate, but conflicts keep coming up. It's been exhausting trying to balance both commitments, knowing the SATs are fast approaching. Every day that goes by without filming adds more stress, and it’s hard not to feel anxious about both my film and my studies.  Welcome! Choosing an editing style for the project was one of the most important steps in bringing the story to life. I wanted to create a specific mood that would enhance the emotions of each scene, so I spent a lot of time experimenting with different filters and effects. Initially, I tried using bright, high-contrast filters to make everything pop, but it didn’t fit the tone I was aiming for. It made the film feel too loud and overwhelming. After discussing it with the group, I decided to take a more subtle approach. I experimented with softer filters that muted the colors slightly. This gave the scenes a more romantic, dream-like quality, which was perfect for the narrative. The group and I agreed that this style complemented the story's reflective and emotional elements.  Another aspect I focused on was color grading. The first hurdle was finding transportation. Since the park was a bit far, getting everyone there on time was tricky. I had to organize rides and coordinate schedules, which took longer than expected. Once the group and I finally arrived, the next challenge hit us immediately—mosquitoes. They were everywhere, buzzing around constantly. Despite bug spray, it felt like they were determined to follow us wherever we went. The scenery, though, made up for the inconvenience. Tree Tops Park was stunning, with its lush greenery and towering trees. The sunlight filtering through the leaves created the perfect backdrop for our shots. Hello everyone, today I will be sharing the soundtracks I've selected for the film and how each will enhance the scene they are in.  Choosing the music for my film was one of the most important parts of the process. I wanted each song to connect deeply with the emotions conveyed in the scenes, ensuring the right atmosphere was set. I explored various royalty-free sources, eventually narrowing it down to "BreakingCopyright — Royalty Free Music" and "Infraction - No Copyright Music." For the opening scene, where the boy and girl meet, I wanted a track that felt warm and lighthearted. I found a song with a gentle melody that conveyed the innocence and excitement of a first greeting. It was essential for this piece to feel like the start of something beautiful without overpowering the visuals. When it came to moments of joy between the two, I aimed for something upbeat but not too fast. The balance was key, as I didn't want to distract from the dialogue...

When I first started working on the project, I chose “Bodoni 72 Oldstyle” and “Chalkduster” as the primary fonts for the title and credits. At first glance, they seemed fitting. "Bodoni 72 Oldstyle" had an elegant, classic feel, while "Chalkduster" added a playful, handwritten element. However, as the project developed, I realized these fonts didn’t align with the vibe I wanted to create. Instead of conveying romance, the fonts gave off a more horror-like atmosphere. The group and I noticed this during the early review stages. We discussed how the typefaces shaped the tone of the film. "Bodoni 72 Oldstyle" was too formal and stark, which paired with the script, felt eerie. "Chalkduster," while casual, had a rough and unsettling quality that leaned toward a thriller or horror genre.  Welcome! Join me to talk about my editing process for the first scene of my short film.  After wrapping up our first scene at the library, the next step was diving into the editing process. It’s always exciting to see how raw footage starts coming together, but as any filmmaker knows, editing can be just as challenging as filming—if not more! It’s amazing how different the raw footage can look compared to what I had imagined while filming. The lighting was mostly great, but there were a few shots that needed color correction to make everything feel cohesive. One of the trickiest parts was syncing the audio with the video. We had some background noise from the library. I spent some time cleaning up the sound to make sure the dialogue was crisp and clear, which really helped the scene flow better. As I edited, I noticed how the multiple takes we did ended up being so helpful. Those extra angles gave me the flexibility to cut between different shots, making the scene more dynami...

 Welcome! My friends and I finally filmed the first scene. Our first day of filming at the library was an exciting and rewarding experience. It took us about three hours to wrap up the scene, but it was worth every minute. The library staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, allowing us to film without any interruptions. Their cooperation made the process much smoother, and I was extremely grateful for their flexibility. However, like with any shoot, things didn’t go perfectly on the first try. The group and I  had to do multiple takes to get the camera angles just right.  Whether it was adjusting the lighting or tweaking the position of the camera to avoid glare from the windows, it was a process of constantly fine-tuning the setup. I quickly realized that every little detail, from the angle of a chair to the framing of a book, made a big difference.
